          Surrounded
by reggae, soul, roots and hip hop while growing up she knew her calling
was in music. She started to rap at raves for fun and then got a break
appearing on Sticky's track. Since then she's been on a steady climb
ever since winning awards and climbing charts. The release of her
debut album 'A Lil' Deeper' has
everyone comparing her to the likes of Lauryn
            Hill to Mary J. Blige
            to Nelly Furtado, she's appeared
as a host on a TV show and opened for for rap's bad boy Eminem
and it doesn't stop there. With a remix album in the works there's
no slowing down for this young lady so get ready for the explosion.

          Whitney
is sued by her Dad's company

             Whitney
just can't get a break these days. With all her recent dirty laundry
being aired in the media spotlight, Houston is now being sued for
$100 million by her father's company. Whitney
just can't get a break these days. With all her recent dirty laundry
being aired in the media spotlight, Houston is now being sued for
$100 million by her father's company.
John
Houston Entertainment, which filed the breach of contract
lawsuit late last August in a New Jersey Superior Courthouse, is
accusing the singer of never paying up for services rendered when
the company acted on her behalf in a managerial capacity. Yet the
question remains — which side is Dad on? Both parties seem to think
              it's theirs.
            John Houston
himself isn't named in the suit, but John Houston Entertainment
              President Kevin Skinner says
the two of them are the plaintiffs. The
suit claims that Whitney's father and Skinner dismissed her previous
attorney and hired new ones, who then convinced prosecutors not
to file charges. The suit also claims that they helped her ink a
long-term deal with Arista Records last summer, which secured the
              singer a $100 million contract.
            What's next you
might ask well we just have to wait and see - keep you posted.

                produce 'Spiritually Speaking'
which highlights their distinctive sound: jazzy dance floor grooves
combined with classic '70's soul melody, harmonic vocals and spiritual
messages behind the music. What's evident is that the songs have
that distinctive sound that brought the likes of legendary groups
                Earth, Wind
                & Fire and War
                to the forefront.

                'Sweeter Than The Day Before'

his label, the 58-year-old master of making babies music has announced
that he has suffered kidney failure and will need a transplant.
          "Doctors confirm
that Barry White has a history of hypertension (high blood pressure),
which has led to a decline of kidney function," says a statement
from Island Def Jam Music Group. "He has started a course of
maintenance dialysis therapy. Once stabilized, he will be a candidate
            for a kidney transplant." At
the request of family, the label is keeping mum on the details of
White's illness and his treatment location.
          Considering the
gravity of his condition, it may be some time before the Sultan of
Sex will be back on stage warbling hits like 'Can't
Get Enough of Your Love, Babe', 'You're
the First, the Last, My Everything', 'Your
            Sweetness Is My Weakness,' 'It's
Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me,' and 'Love's
Theme'. Here's hoping all goes well for 'The Man' and gets
            his transplant very soon.
