Her Sanity is all that and then some

They are the new darlings of the R&B arena, they are sexy, beautiful and talented. They are Her Sanity, the latest trio of gorgeous ladies to hail from Master P's neck of the woods to hit the music scene.

Tameka 'COOKIE' Neville, Lindsay 'LINZ' Robinson and SUNNI Maria Fitch are the three young ladies who form Her Sanity and their debut single 'Exclusive' (feat: The Lox) is getting massive airplay on radio and is blowing up on the club circuit.

Taken from their Motown debut of the same name 'Exclusive' has a little bit of everything for you, a thumping bass line, catchy hook, great production and with it's crossover appeal makes it a winner all round so do not sleep on this sleeper of a hit. Available in stores is both the single and the album - do get it.

India Arie's sophomore effort takes a 'Voyage'

India Arie is back in the studio putting the finishing touches on her sophomore album, Voyage to India. The follow-up to 2001's Acoustic Soul is due September 24 and features the neo-soul singer co-producing with Shannon Sanders (Next, Lil' Keke) The title of the album refects her trip to India this year where she gave a concert.

The first single 'Little Things', will hit airwaves on today, as AOL's First Listen series provided a preview of the track last Friday. Arie will be shooting the video for the song August 17 and 18.

Arie's new album is noted as 'all her' as she will not feature any guest appearances. She has built a reputation as quite a collaborator since the release of Acoustic Soul having recorded duets with
John Mellencamp on 'Peaceful World' and jazz singer Cassandra Wilson on 'Just Another Parade'.

Her song 'Brown Skin' is nominated for Best R&B/Soul Single, Solo, at the 8th annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards, where she will also appear as a presenter. The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in California on August 24.

Mark Morrison it seems is on the run.

It's been a while since his name has made the headlines but young Mark Morrison's fallen foul of the authorities again. It concerns a young woman who 'apparently' stole a £8,000 gold bracelet. The story was splattered all over the tabloids in the UK last week saying the singer has disappeared after being accused of kidnapping.

Reportedly, the 30 year old rapper who scored a huge hit across the board with "Return Of The Mack" in 1996 abducted the woman after he claimed that she stole a £8,000 gold bracelet from him. The police arrested him on Friday July 12 but after gaining bail, he failed to report back to the police for his court appearance. According to his lawyer, Morrison was due to hand himself in last week.   .

Two of Dome's finest duet on 'Could be you'

Two of Dome Records finest acts team up for the first time. The beautiful Beverlei Brown and label mate Dennis Taylor have come together to harmonize on Beverlei's latest single 'Could be you' taken from her 'Next to you' album (already in stores in the UK but has yet to hit US soil).

It's nothing that we haven't heard before just more of what you get is what you've got before. The foxy Ms. Brown holds to form with her harmonizing chords alongside Dennis's smooth baritone on this mid-tempo dance groove which makes this one a winner in my eyes.

No date as to when it will hit record shelves but will keep you posted when it does. One for the shopping list as I would say.
