     My
girl Jill Scott is blowing up and rightfully so. After opening up for
former Police frontman Sting on his US dates last month, Ms.
Scott officially heads out on her own tour of the states. The tour will begin
on July 17 with the first two shows slated in Chicago and is scheduled to
continue until Aug. 29 with a stop in Toronto that day. Prior to that, she
will visit the Hampton (Va.) Jazz Festival on June 22 and the Welcome
America! Festival in Philadelphia on July 4.

          Maxwell's
          'Now' slated for Aug 21st

 Well
it's official. According to a rep I know at Sony the apparent wait on
the Maxwell set 'Now' is over. 'Now' is officially scheduled for release
on August 21st. The much anticipated album was originally due to be
released last year but then it apparently hit a snag as the album was
        not finished at that time.

    This
seems to be a trend with the singer nowadays which leads one to believe that
was the case all along. The single 'Get to know ya' was issued to radio in
February and with that in mind normally the album follows within a month of
that. Four months on 'Now' it would seem will be later for a little while
longer as fans worldwide anxiously await on the album. Well
lets hope that this is the end of the long wait. Come on Maxwell it's not as
if we don't want your music 'cos we do so let us have it (on time eh).

    Kay
Gee is a master producer serving up a terrific track here he definitely is
one of the top notch producers to come along this decade. The ladies are in
fine form from start to finish in perfect harmonization. It really doesn't
get any better than this here  No
title for the forthcoming album yet as well as a street date but be certain
of this you will be hearing a lot more of this track on the show. Do have a listen when you can of course.

  Sole
  returns with 'Never had'

 Ms
Sole the young lady who first caught our attention on J
    T Money's 'Who
    dat' before stepping out into
the limelight herself with Iy,Yi,Yi, 4,5,6 and 'It wasn't
me (featuring Ginuwine) is back to create havoc with her latest
effort 'Never had' (DreamWorks). The young lass from Kansas City
actually started out as part of a duo called Divine in the late 80's before
    going solo.

Sole's sexy appeal shines once again
and leaves the rest to the imagination of our thoughts. Producing duties comes courtesy of
Chris 'Tricky' Stewart (J T Money, Blaque, Tyrese) and it looks like another hit for the
    young lady. No
title for the forthcoming album yet as well as a street date but I'll keep
you posted whenever an update is available.
