Beyonce injures herself during rehearsals, delays DS tour
It seems to be an accurance for the big pop singers in the industry - that they are mortal and get injuries. Recently pop diva Britney Spears hurt her knee and now it's happened to another famous face. The babe of the ball Beyonce Knowles ripped a leg muscle last week while working on a dance move for an upcoming two-hour ABC special intended to promote the new record with the her group Destiny's Child.
The injury has caused the singer to cancel the ABC special and other engagements planned for the group. A spokeswoman for Columbia Records, Yvette Noel-Schure, told the Associated Press that the singer simply "overdid it" while rehearsing the routine.
"We're all keeping our fingers crossed that, because she's young and healthy, [her leg] heals fast. There are a lot of things in place that we may have to shift, We'll know more after a week."
It's a safe to say that Beyoncé will be under the care of some of L.A.'s top specialists and while the singer is able to walk, one doctor reportedly has advised the sexy superstar to avoid dancing and any other strenuous activity (boo hoo for boyfriend Jay Z).
The new album Destiny Fulfilled, is due on record shelves November 16th.

MOBO Awards - Jamelia and Kanye West the big winners
The 9th Annual MOBO Awards was front and centre last week in London and the biggest winners on the night was Jamelia and Kanye West.
The British songstress won in every category she was nominated in including the UK Act of the Year, shared with Dizzee Rascal, as well as winning Best Single for her huge UK hit 'Thank You'. On the other hand, Kanye West who was nominated in a record 7 categories won for Best Hip Hop Artist, Best Producer and Best Album (for his debut set College Dropout). The sad thing was that he not even there to collect the awards.
Other winners on the night included Usher, who beat out Brit singer Lemar for Best R&B Act, and Jamie Cullum for Best Jazz Artist.
The MOBO (which stands for Music Of Black Origin) has been the main pioneer in the R&B field having helped put both the music and its makers firmly on the map in it's native UK. Since it's inception in 1996, each year the ceremony has grown more and more in popularity and statue while in the process the Awards show itself has given strongl, credible performances from each performer who takes to the stage.

Chaka Khan's son arrested for murder in shooting incident
The son of legendary R&B singer Chaka Khan has been arrested on charges of murder last week after shooting another man while they fought over a gun, according to Los Angeles police. 25 year old Damien Patrick Holland was taken into custody after the shooting, which took place shortly before midnight Sept 25th in a Los Angeles apartment.
Said Sgt Catherine Plows of the LA Police "During a fight involving the victim and the suspect, a struggle for control of a gun resulted in it discharging," The bullet struck the victim, who was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injury".
Police said the victim was 17 years old but did not identify him and declined to comment further on the case pending an investigation.
The story first broke through the television program 'Celebrity Justice' who said the shooting took place at the apartment complex where Holland lived and that the weapon was a high-powered rifle apparently found on the roof of a nearby building. The show also added that bail was set for $1 million and that Holland's father was long divorced from Khan.

According to the Gossip columnists, there have been reporting for the past month that reigning R&B prince Usher and my girl singer Alicia Keys were apparently an item, but now it appears that Usher has his eye on someone else - supermodel Naomi Campbell.
The New York Post's Page Six reports that Usher and Campbell were caught canoodling in Miami over the weekend. A source said, "She's performing with him this week in Miami ... she is absolutely besotted. He is so nice and lovely to her. She is heads over heels in love with him."
Campbell 's rep, who wouldn't go so far as to say that the two are dating, said, "Naomi and Usher are enjoying hanging out together." Usher had dated singer Chilli from TLC until earlier this year. Since the breakup, he has been linked to Keys, though he was recently spotted in Las Vegas with Chilli as well. Well as I would say don't always believe what you read (or hear for that matter)
