Britney Spears and beau ties the knot sooner than later

Oops I'm maried for real - BritneyHaving announced their pending marriage for this coming October, pop princess Britney Spears and fiance Kevin Federline wanted to be man and wife sooner than later and just about shocked everyone when the couple got married this past Saturday in a small ceremony in Los Angeles.

According to reports given from Star Magazine, the shift in the wedding date came once the couple realized that this particular weekend was also home to the Emmys in Los Angeles, and the media's attention might be diverted. Unfortunately for Britney she was mistaken as the information was leaked out. The media was tipped off by a furious Britney after she learned that details had leaked out of their planned nuptials at the plush Bacara resort in Santa Barbara on November 20. One source said: "Britney is hoping to catch the Press off guard and do a Jennifer Lopez by marrying in secret. "The Emmy TV awards are being held in Los Angeles this weekend and she is hoping that, with Press attention focusing on that, she can secretly tie the knot at home then throw a party as planned at Bacara.".

The bride beaming from ear to ear wore a white strapless dress (designer is yet not known) and husband to be Kevin donned a white tuxedo as the two exchanged vows during a non-denominational ceremony. It's stated that twenty to thirty guests were on-hand for the event, which took place at a private home in Studio City in CA. Entertainment Tonight was there as the beaming bride left the house in the early hours of Sunday morning. A laughing Britney and her brand new husband departed the home in a black SUV. The new Mrs Federline is now also the step-mother to his 2 children from former fiance Shar Jackson.

Fugee members unite for Dave Chappelle's Block Party

Fugees reunited - Lauryn Hill It was a wet and wild afternoon for fans of comedian Dave Chappelle as they were treated to an afternoon of fun, music and a surprise to boot. Fans gathered in the rain Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn's Fort Greene neighborhood to enjoy performances from the likes of Common, the Roots, Talib Kweli, Kanye West and Jill Scott.

Dubbed the 'Block Party', by the event's mastermind and organizer Dave Chappelle, it was captured by director Michel Gondry for a concert film and documentary due next year.

The location (the intersection of Quincy and Downing Streets) was initially shrouded in secrecy -- fans signed up for free tickets online and were then bused to the site from Chinatown. Hundreds of attendees braved the rain and chilly evening, many of which were decked out in ponchos in an attempt to stay dry.

But the biggest surprise was yet to come as the original trio of the Fugees came on stage. The group has basically gone their seperate ways since the 1996 album 'The Score'. Despite the differences between members Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras, the group hasn't missed a beat offered renditions of its own 'Fu-Gee-La' as well as Lauryn's own hit 'Lost Ones'.

Also on hand, former love interests Common and Erykah Badu dueted on his tracks 'The Light' and 'Love of My Life' while rapper of the moment Kanye West belted out the tracks 'Spaceship','Two Words' and 'We Don't Care'.
