Stevie Wonder to release new set in September.

For the better part of four decades Stevie Wonder has mesmorizes us with his music and no one artist has influenced the American RNB music scene the way he has and so I was delighted to see that Stevie is back with his first studio album in almost 6 years. Mr Wonder is currently in the studios again putting on the finishing touches on his forthcoming album that's yet to be titled and is keeping a tight lip about it also. Said Stevie recenty "You're just going to have to just wait and listen and see,"

His publicist added by saying she had no information to add about the project . His last studio album 'Conversation Peace' though it didn't fair well on the R+R format had some great tracks and featured the likes of Anita Baker, Bill Summers and the Jazzyfatnasties.

Can it be... Erykah to be a mom again?

According to thesource.com rumor has it in the grapevine that Ms Badu is pregnant and is expecting with her 2nd child. The father sources say is yet unknown but she was recently linked up with Chicago's prodigal rapper Lonnie Rashad Smith aka Common. She's already had a child with former flame Dre 2001 of Outkast fame before they went their seperate ways last year.

Erykah latest release 'Mama's Gun' is certified platinum is currently on tour with Common, Bilal, Musiq and Talib Kweli.  She has also added herself to the forthcoming SoulBeach Music Fest coming to Miami from May 30th to June 3rd. Look out for her concert coming to a city near you.

Angie stone - a new album in the works.

The lovely and talented Angie Stone is back in the studio preparing songs for her debut album called 'Mahogony Soul' on Clive Davis's new J Records. The album has already had the majority of the tracks in the bag so to speak and  is almost ready for release.

The producers on hand working on the project is the who's who of the HipHop/ RNB world including  Prince, Raphael Saadiq (Lucy Pearl, Willie Max), Warryn Campbell, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe called Quest, Lucy Pearl), Gerald Isaacs, Chucky Thompson (Destiny's Child, Usher), Mike City (Sunshine Anderson)and Rufus Blaq. His purple heiness Prince  will also sub in a duet with Angie on the tune 'U Make My Sun Shine' that is sIated to be out next month here in the states.

Rahsaan Patterson back in the studio to record 3rd album.

Rashaan Patterson is back in the studio again to begin recording his 3rd album on MCA. The set is yet to be titled but returning to do co-producing duties is Jamey Jaz who has co-written and produced with Rahsaan on his other albums. There was rumor that Rahsaan wanted to leave MCA due to lack of promotion and A/R with his last album the now classic (in my eyes) 'Love in Stereo

Speaking of his last album, it was shown no love here in the states (with the exception of my show  and various other radio stations) but to me I classed it as the album of the year for '99. A sheer brilliant masterpiece with excellent tracks all the way down the line from the opening track 'Treat you like a Queen' to 'Friend of Mine', 'It's alright now', 'Sure Boy', 'The Day' and 'Any other Love' Look for the album to drop either this winter or early spring.
