Janet and Jermaine: newlyweds or not that is the question?
In the news again is Ms (or is it Mrs.) Jackson but this time it's apparently for a happy occasion. According to reports, last week while undertaking a bevy of public appearances and album promotions for her new album Damita Jo (which incidentally is her middle name), Janet Jackson was sporting a huge 20 carat diamond rock on her ring finger during her performance on the Good Morning America morning show.
When asked if she and boyfriend current Jermaine Dupri had gotten engaged or tied the knot, the diva coyly was tight lipped about the whole thing. In a recent interview on the Ryan Seaquest talk show On Air with Ryan Seaquest, Current boyfriend Jermaine Dupri declared that he's like to marry her "I want to marry her. I'm not going to mess this up. I would like to be with her forever" said Dupri. If or when the two take their vows, it will be Jackson's third attempt at marital bliss and Dupri's first. While Dupri didn't specify a date, friends of Janet Jackson said that the two may be hitched before the end of the year.
The teaser here being can we forget what happened with her previous marriages? Remember those two (to James Debarge and Rene Elizondo) were also kept secret until one marriage was annulled and the other ended up with divorce papers being served in respective cases. Is the same fate turning it's ugly head for a third time for Ms. Jackson? - only time can tell.

Britney to hang out in your nightclub for mere $2000
As ridiculous as this sounds it's apparently true and a topic of conversation recently. As if the pop princess Britney Spears doesn't make enough money as it is, it was reported recently that this actually happened. Britney was performing last weekend here in Miami when management at the trendy Mynt nightclub on Miami Beach was approached by a member her staff.
They posed an offer to have Britney and her gang hang out and party for just a mere appearance fee of $2,000 (just for her to hang out there, I mean come on). Apparently management held their ground and refused to pay her but told her she can try her luck at any of the other clubs on the beach so they tucked their tail between their legs and Britney took her gang elsewhere for the night. No mention of where they ended up or if that club had to pay her but I'm sure it will come out sooner or later?

Rahsaan Patterson signs with Dome for latest release
After a 4 year hiatus from his last project Love in Stereo, singer/songwriter/producer and out right soul prodigy (in my opinion I feel), Rahsaan Patterson has signed to UK based record label Dome Records to release his 3rd album 'After Hours'. Rahsaan who was with MCA for 5 yrs before leaving them in 2002 recently inked the deal with Peter and Santosh Robinson's record label and is poised to take his rightful place in the soul arena as the USA's top soul prince of the neo-soul movement.
The album's lead off single will be 'Separate' which ships to your record shelves this week and the album itself is due on April 26th. You can order it through play.com, Dome and other internet shops and retail stores. The 12 song strong CD features tracks that has appeared on recent the soundtrack Brown Sugar and compilation Steve Harvey's Sign of Things to Come (You make life so Good and The one for Me respectively).

Usher's 'Confessions' sells over a million copies it's first week
Well I would say it's about time where this story lies. Normally when reading the Sound Scan reports for record sales and the amount of units moved in its first initial week you'd see Britney Spears, N 'Sync or one of those pop players but this week a new face appeared there and it belongs to none other than Usher.
The Atlanta resident recently topped Billboard Pop and R&B charts simultaneously with his release 'Confessions' which sold according to reports a mind boggling 1.1 million units to become this years fastest selling album in it's 1st week of release surpassing Norah Jones 'Feels like Home'.
His latest single the ballad 'Burn' is quickly climbing the charts and is destined to follow in the footsteps of his number 1 hit single 'Yeah' that features Lil' Jon and Ludacris. Congrats to Usher, well done mate, good on ya. '- Source - reactmag.com
