Everyone is 'Still in Love' with Teena Marie

Fan Loyality lies thick - Teena MarieAfter years of not being in the public eye's glare, Teena Marie returns with her latest single 'Still in Love' which is blowing up on radio airplay since it went to radio Mar 3rd. The song is the #2 most added single at Urban Adult Contemporary Radio as of last week and is poised to make strides all the way to the top spot,

The single written by Marie and co-produced by her and her new label's stable mate producer Manny Fresh sees Teena return to her natural mystic and element - breezy, soothing vocals over steller keys and soft violins chords reminisce of her early plaits in her Motown era. Any misconceptions that this lady had lost her way is totally unfounded as her presence is stronger than ever very evident with this latest release as fans were dying for her music.

With the single doing so well we can only expect the full length to be more of the magical touch that is Teena Marie. The LP La Do?a is set to drop on May 11th and will feature collaborations the rap and R&B genres with Levert front man Gerald Levert on the song called "A Rose," reassurging 'where are they now' rapper MC Lyte and the up and coming Medusa on 'The Mackin Game' and a reunion with the original 70s funkster Rick James on "I Got You." - look out for it (it's bound to be another benchmark for Tina I'm sure)

Beyoncé's nervous before opening of 'Ladies First', show opens in FL

nervous gitters - Beyonce It was deafening, loud and an all-out frenzy as one would expect from such an event. The show in question is the opening performance of the all female pegged 'Ladies First' tour which kicked off it's opening show here at the National Car Rental Centre in Sunrise FL.

With Tamia added as the opening act, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé and Missy Elliott — three sirens of R&B and hip-hop came to play and play they did .....for close to 5 hours. The music itself overplayed them as it was at an epic scale loudness throughout the show but they put on a show nevertheless.

Beyoncé it would seem had some nerves prior to the show stating she knows 'the pressure is all on her' - "I'm a little nervous by myself, because whenever you make any kind of mistake, it's just you on the stage,. I'm very much involved in everything. I'm literally on the mic calling every cue in rehearsals."

Well she was on 'cue' on opening night as the show was a success for the ladies soul/R&B version of the 'Lillith Fair' who next head to New Orleans and Dallas on the 14th and 15th of March respectively.

Jada Pinkett eyes singing career, opens for Britney's UK dates

On tour with Pop royallity - JadaAfter appearing on her husband Will Smith's single '1,000 kisses' a couple of years back, it seems that actress (now turned singer) Jada Pinkett-Smith wants to make a go of it - as a singer. The pint sized actress has put together her own band called Wicked Wisdom and has hit the road in Los Angeles playing at various venues throughout the town including The Mint.

Jada who was recently seen in the last two Matrix sequels has garnered some rave reviews of her and her band and the word of mouth has even drawn the attention of pop princess Britney Spears. The reigning queen of Pop has invited them to join her to be her opening act during the UK leg of her current 'Onyx Hotel' tour. This is quite an honor for the band considering that they have not had a single released, any radio play of their song/s nor an put out an album. Way to go Jada.
