J. Lo and Ben call it quits or did they?

 

They were supposed to be married this past weekend and on their honeymoon today but that surely is not the case according to recent reports. Rumor has it that Ben Afflect and called it quits with high profile fiance Jennifer Lopez apparently siting that he never wanted to get married in the first place.

 

Reporters are having a field day with this one as Jennifer was spotted here in Miami soaking up the Florida sunshine with firends while Ben spent Friday last at the Hustler Casino in Gardena, California, an establishment owned by Huster magazine CEO Larry Flynt. Conflicting stories are circling concering the reason for Ben to walk away. Affleck's constant need for gambling, the overwhelming hoopla over their extravagantly planned wedding and his mother as some of the reasons why the 31-year-old writer/actor said no-no to dear ol' J. Lo. Although no one from both camps are talking, spokepoeple for the stars thenselves said that they are still together. More to come so stay tuned.

Mya and others to headline the 'Women Rock' benefit

Sexy R&B songstress Mya is one of the headliners who will be performing at the Fourth Annual Women Rock Benefit for breast cancer reserach taking place on September 30th at the Hollywood Kodak Theater. The benefit hopes to steer millions of dollars into the reasearch to battle and ultimately cure the deadly disease.

 

Along with Mya, other big name talents sharing the same stage will be teen queen Mandy Moore, country diva Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss, Celine Dion, rocker Kenny Loggins and singer Anastacia.

 

Speaking of Anastacia, this hits very close to home for her as she was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year and is determined to beat it. She has teamed up with Estee Lauder mogul Evelyn Lauder to set up her own cancer foundation called the 'Anastacia Fund at the Cancer Research Foundation' and will be the spokeswoman for the Lifetime cable network's annual 'Stop Breast Cancer for Life Awareness' (according to reports)

Singer Sisqó is arrested for alledged shooting, resisting arrest

 

Solo artist and the lead singer of the R&B group Dru Hill Sisqó was arrested this past Saturday morning along with his girlfriend after allegedly firing shots at a car parked outside a neighbor's house.

Police detained the silver haired singer (now sporting his natural colour of black), whose real name is Mark Andrews, at his home in the Baltimore suburb of Randallstown and charged him with five criminal acts, including first-degree assault and resisting arrest. His girlfriend, Tera Thomas, was also arrested and charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest.

According to police reports, Sisqó's neighbor's brother called in a complaint around 3:30 a.m., stating he was waiting in his car for family members to come out when he heard a gunshot and after his wife and a friend rushed into the car, he drove off as Sisqó apparently fired more shots at his fleeing vehicle.

After arriving at the singer's house to question him, police found empty shell casings from a .9 mm pistol and the gun and a magazine clip on his kitchen counter - it appeared to have been recently fired. It was at this time they resisted arrest and was arrested. Both were taken to Baltimore County jail and booked. Sisqó was released Sunday after posting bail of $175,000.
