Frank McComb back in studio to record 3rd album

Sultry soul singer Frank McComb is back in the studio again. The Cleveland, Ohio born suprano will follow up his 2000 Columbia release 'Love Stories' with not one but two albums according to reports. The first involves a producer in the spotlight at the moment in Steve Harvey who's getting high marks and praise for his work on Atlanta newcomer Donnie's 'The Colored Session' LP.

Also collaborating on the project is former Rufus player Bobby Watson who will play bass and of course Frank playing keyboards.. Additional guests will be invited to play on individual tracks, including veteran vocalist Billy Preston. The set is to be the first project released independently by Scotland Yard Productions.  No title has been announced for the album but as always I will keep you posted when it becomes available.

Ashanti cleans up at Billboard Awards

Ashanti was an award winner in the truest sense of the word as she scored big at the 2002 Billboard Music Awards, held earlier tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The petite princess took home eight awards, including Female Artist of the Year, Top New Pop Artist of the Year and R&B/Hip-Hop Single of the Year for her smash hit 'Foolish'.

Nelly ran a close second to the first lady of Murder Inc, grabbing a tally of six wins, among them being Rap Track of the Year for "Hot in Herre," Hot 100 Singles Male Artist of the Year and the universally celebrated Artist of the Year. Also honored with awards was rapper Eminem who won 2 for Album of the Year and R&B/Hip-Hop Album of the Year for The Eminem Show. Full details on who won at www.billboard.com

UPDATE: Dwele's 'Rize' now available online

UPDATE - While browsing the internet I came across something great. For months I've been raving about Detroit singer/songwriter Andwele Gardner aka Dwele and that his debut release from 98 'Rize' was not available to buy but hold on a sec, there is a site that I came across that does have it and not for a bad price either.

The site is called hiphopsite.com and if you're a hip hop lover or a fan of hip hop then you are truly at home with this site. Everyone who's anyone is here from the famous to the noncalent and more. So if you want the Dwele disc then give them a visit (you won't be disappointed)
